Where is it?
The Marshall Islands a chain of atolls just north of the equator – half way between Hawaii and Australia. The two island chains in the Marshall Islands are spread out over 750,000 square miles of ocean but have a combined land mass of only 70 square miles. The Marshall Islands took their place in world history as being the a nuclear test site. The Marshall Islands are all atolls, rings of coral reefs with islands dotting the reefs and forming a lagoon of protected water.
